以保障奶牛健康、改善奶牛生产性能、提升牛奶品质、促进奶牛养殖业可持续发展为目标,本研究室围绕奶牛营养与饲养、消化道微生态与功能、泌乳生理与营养调控等方向,从动物生产、组织细胞及分子水平开展系列研究。


奶畜高产与健康


        研究奶产量、质量和饲料效率相关的生理、代谢和微生物机制,为提高奶牛生产水平和精准营养提供理论基础和应用启示。开展饲料添加剂研发与效价评估,解析日粮营养对奶牛健康以及环境的影响,开发与有效利用饲料资源,为奶业生产可持续发展提供适用技术。


消化道微生态与功能


        基于“营养素-消化道微生物-宿主”的互作机制研究平台,探究消化道微生物群体感应机制、消化道发育状态与微生物的因果关系、消化道结构与功能关系,重构消化道微生物与宿主互作网络,实现消化道发育过程的调控;将多组学分析与生物工程技术联用,探究微生物的多酶系、基因簇在糖化和糖代谢过程中的级联催化机制,设计并构建个性化多肽与微生物反应器,发挥菌-酶协同生物质转化作用,为改善消化道微生态和动物健康提供新思路。


乳腺泌乳与乳品质量和安全


        研究乳腺发育、生理、健康等影响泌乳过程的生物学内涵;探讨主要乳成分(乳蛋白、乳脂等)合成的关键分子机制及其影响因素;探索精准营养调控奶畜泌乳的分子途径,形成系列调控乳成分合成的关键技术;结合益生菌及乳源活性物质功能研究及开发,实现乳品质量的精准调控,保障乳品安全。



        With aims at enhancing the health and performance of dairy cattle, improving milk quality, and promoting sustainable development of dairy industry, the LRN is focused on the researches of dairy nutrition and feeds, gut microecology and functionality, and lactation biology and manipulation from the fundamental to applied aspects.


High Productivity and Health of Dairy Cows


        Researches are focusing on the physiological, metabolic and gut microbial mechanisms related to milk yield, quality and feed efficiency to provide theoretical basis and application inspiration for improving the productivity and achieving precise nutrition in dairy cows. Attention is paid to development and evaluation of feed additives, effects of nutrition on dairy cow health and environment, efficient use of feed resources available locally, to promote the sustainable dairy feeding system in China.


Gut Microecology and Function


        In the light of ‘nutrients-gastrointestinal microbiota-host’ interactions, researches are focusing on understanding roles of microbes in gastrointestinal development and the regulation of microbial quorum sensing. Methods to rebuild the interactive network between gastrointestinal microbiota and host to achieve regulation of gastrointestinal development are being pursued. Meanwhile, multi-omics and bioengineering strategies are employed to understand the cascade catalysis of saccharification and sugar metabolism in gastrointestinal microbes. On that note, design and construction of personalized peptides and microbial bioreactors are of high interest, thus providing new insights on improvement of gastrointestinal microbiota and animal health.


Lactation and Quality of Dairy Products


        Researches are focusing on the biological mechanisms of mammary development, physiology, and health on lactation process, the molecular mechanisms and impact factors of milk components (protein, fat acid, etc.) synthesis, and the pathways for precise nutritional manipulation of lactation in dairy livestock, developing the key technologies manipulating the synthesis of milk components. Combining with the research and development of probiotics and milk-derived functional substances, the final goals is to achieve precise manipulation of dairy products quality and safety.
